I will try to keep everything short and sweet because this trip is 8 days long and I have lots of pictures to upload and blog about!! But I will only be picking a few out from my facebook album to blog! So do refer to my facebook album if you like to see more of other pictures!
So we set off on a Saturday morning, meeting 8.10am at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 for check in! Because my mum had to work, and my bro cannot be bothered, boyfriend fetched me to the airport and dropped me there :)
First time going overseas without much people sending me off!! Hahaha. Ok but still got a sad feeling within me cause I wont get to see bf for the next 8 days. Hahaha.
Went inside the check in area to have some breakfast before walking to the boarding gate! We were taking Singapore Airlines!!! A round trip for Singapore airlines to and from Pudong Airport in Shanghai would take about $1.2k. Was quite astonished our total trip fare was only $1.5k inclusive of all meals, lodgings and travel!
This is me! Hahahaha. I have got water retention and my face looks so round ~.~ Plus my midnight packing for my luggage was only done in the wee hours of the morning so I didnt have much sleep. Look at my eyebags Hahahaha. ~.~
These kind of sights, you wont get to see it unless you are on a plane.
Thus must take more pictures LOL.
From a bird's eye view! Just that this is from my camera's view lolol.
The best thing about Singapore Airlines flight is that it WILL, confirm 100% + chop have an on-board meal. ^^ We had our lunch on the plane and I love these kind of meals! Like there is always excitement and anticipation about the kind of food you will get, plus the service of pretty SIA girls!
Had some pan-fried chicken in red wine accompanied with some potatos and all that. We were supposed to have ice cream for desserts! But when the SIA girl came with our icecream, we were having our meal and thus we requested it at a later time. But who knew after that she didnt come to ask again ~.~ So we had no icecream hahahaha.
And the view at the top of the clouds is always different!!!
They look so much like marshmallows the sky is ridiculously blue. Hahahaha.
With their headphones on!
Didnt catch much movie on board because the ones offered were quite boring. :\
Landing in Shanghai Pudong Airport!!
Their service sucks seriously. After we touched ground, we were told by our pilot saying that Pudong Airport has got congestion with the air traffic so told us to stay put for a while.
10minutes later came another notice saying that we will be alighting at another place because there is no available parking space (i dont know what it is called haha) and have to wait for their personnel to come.
Another 15minutes had passed, and there came another notice said that there was a miscommunication with the airport staff and now there is a parking space for us. =___= from our original landing time of 3.30pm, we got off the plane at 4.30pm! Argh!
Check out time!!
Long queues at the chopping of passport place. Horrible!
Will never take Singapore Changi Airport's fast and seamless service for granted again.
my group members!! Eileen was taking the picture hence she wasnt inside.
And we proceeded to transfer by coach to Suzhou with a trip journey of 2 hours.
We finally reached after a very long journey! It was raining in shanghai and suzhou, and the weather outside was so cold that condensation started to form on the windows. Had to use a tissue to wipe them off to see the streets!
It was super cold when we got off the bus to walk to our dinner place! Was totally shivering. Tour guide said that out of 365 days in Suzhou, raining weather accumulates up to 200 over days.
All chinese cuisine throughout the whole journey. Some were nice were were not!! This meal looks good but tasted bad. I think it must be their oil they used to cook the food! Hence all dishes tasted weird. Even eggs!
Some salted vegetable ramen or something. Not nice!
And these 2 dishes tasted weird!!
And I was quite surprised that people in China ate sticky rice. Like those you find in japanese food instead of the normal rice. Makes you full so easily!
And we proceeded to check in to Snowy Sea Hotel at Suzhou!
Their hotel website is such a bluff. Everything looks so posh like a hotel but instead it is just a super small hotel where the entrance is located off the main street!
And their bed was SUPER HARD. Had a hard time sleeping in those because I liked sleeping on my side, and whenever I lied in the beds for too long, my ribcage hurts because the bed is so hard. ~.~ but ok, I try to keep my complaints to minimum hahaha.
Corridor! We were all hyped up about exploring the streets outside and storing some snacks from the convenience stores. Too bad most shops were closed by then!
The guys went to massage while most of us just went back to the hotel to chill and sleep after that.
The hard beds!!
And that is all for Day 1!
