Skirts my new shorts

SWING SKIRTS CONVERT. It's true. But before I go on about let me hijack this place a bit to talk about - ahem - my new job. New job please!! For the longest of time (like 1 month ago) my mum has been nagging at me to get a job rather than sitting at home day in and out.

So the other day I passed by this new store at Northpoint Shopping Centre called the BoxBoss. I went in, got out, before making another trip back to the store to get a job interview done on the spot. Lol that must be a spontaneous streak in me. So.... I didn't knew what exactly got over me at that point of time but I agreed to all the conditions of being a full-time staff for one month. Working 10 hours per day, 6 days a week.

And after the first day of work, I got a pounding migraine in my head. Thought that I was running down with a fever and quickly took out my thermometer to monitor myself. Hahaha damn. Still having some difficulty adjusting to the new body clock, and that explains why I wasn't able to update this space over the weekend. Anyway, to cut things short my manager has agreed to let me step down to a part time staff. So yay, I can still update this space regularly again!

Okay so here is the confession I have to let on here. Recently I have fallen in love with swing skirts. And they are such a versatile piece of apparel that you could pair it with almost any types of tops - making them my new shorts! I thought of sharing how versatile they could be, and so I collated quite a bit of pictures - some from my favourite bloggers - on how you could easily create different looks with them.

Seriously, you could pair it with long sleeved blouse, sweaters, button shirts, tee shirts, tank tops, spaghetti tops, cropped tops, polo shirts and even turtle-necks. Are the categories for tops exhausted yet? And apart from tops, they could be easily paired to any type of shoes to create different looks. Sandals, heels, boots, flats and all. And to top it all, they even look good with tights!! Almost too good to be true T_T

Therefore I declare swing skirts win my favourite pair of shorts with both hands down now. *Slams palms on  the table top*  Besides, they are all the rage in Bugis street when I went there last week. Not a lot colors yet, but you can definitely spot black and wine red. They comes in many varieties of different materials such as cotton, wool, Lycra, or even leather too. I got myself one in lycra because I find that's the most durable material on an apparel. Looking forward to get myself one in pleated design too.

So for the next few outfit posts, you will probably spot me in them. I have consolidated quite a bit of different styles you could wear in swing skirts, and I hope you girls will find them inspiring for your outfit tomorrow. ♡
