NEW YEAR'S EVE. On the last day of 2012, boyfriend and I decided to head to town for a little walk and hopefully catch the last sight of the Christmas lightings before they're changed to Chinese New Year's deco. It was a very relaxing day, given that I took my own sweet time to get ready and maybe tong my tresses a little bit! Recently I decided to ditch straighteners and bought myself a 32mm hair curler as a Christmas treat for myself. It's so much easier to get neat curls!
Ok speaking of hair, let me just hijack this for a little bit. I'm stuck at a love-hate relationship with my hair length. I kinda love this length, because to me it's also the perfect length to have curls in them. But the problem is that my curls will never last the whole day despite mild hair sprays and styling gel. I don't wish to spray them them till they're stiff like Barbie's hair (can you imagine??) but somehow the length just weighs them down at the end of the day.
I'm thinking of getting myself a perm for the new year, and if the perm goes bad (touch wood x3) I would have a chance to snip them away. Because I'm deciding between either a perm or a snip to a much shorter length - somewhere around shoulder length. Decisions decisions. I have been sporting long straight (or even limp wtf hopefully not) hair for the last 5 years and it's getting just a little boring. But on a more realistic point of view, a snip is definitely more affordable than a perm considering my length. I guess it would be very irresponsible of me if I were to splurge the money which could actually go to my school fees.
So what should I do with it? Leave it? Cut it even shorter for a change?
That aside, boyfriend and I had a bit of time to ourselves walking around and immersing in the crowd at town. We also went by Scape Underground for a little shopping time! I was wearing a blue floral dress which boyfriend bought for me while he was in Bangkok, which I think is very sweet of him to shop for me even while he's away from Singapore. The cutting turned out to be a little too big of him and I'm very blessed to have my mum who knows how to tailor it to my size!
Had the dress matched with a rose gold pendant necklace which is also another gift from boyfriend back then left the rest of the outfit simple with little accessories. It was also my first time sporting a dress with its length almost touching my kneecaps! An outfit which is a little sweeter and demure (hahaha what did I just called myself) than my usual style.
And here's boyfriend who's wearing his new shirt with checkered details on the cuffs and buttons!
What do you think?
