SHOPGERIZ STYLE III. Among the apparels I received from Geriz, I was most excited to blog about dress because the color itself is in such a gorgeous shade of wine. I did showed a little preview of this dress in my previous posts, but that was taken a couple of weeks ago where the rest of the pictures didn't turn out as well as I would like. As yeah luck would have it, it rained mid-day and we had to ditch the shoot since we were outdoors. ╮(╯_╰)╭
And earlier on today, boyfriend and I went to immerse in the crowds of Chinatown - pictures in my upcoming seperate post! For the day I decided to wear this dress from Geriz again. This is a skater dress with lots of room for creativity, and unlike the normal skater dress that comes sleeveless, the cutting and the lines reminds me of a dancer's leotard.
Initially I struggled a bit on how to style this dress, because there just were so many styles of accessories that you could pair with it. I decided against a belt because I wanted the length of the dress to elongate the look. And then it's the ingenious wide neckline of this dress that is highlights and brings out the collarbones. I didn't thought much of necklines before, but now I do because those were the first thing I noticed when I slipped into the dress hahaha.
SO... it seemed like the perfect time to chuck my statement necklaces aside because now it's statement collarbones and I didn't want any overpowering necklaces to bring the attention away HAHAHA. (Omg shut up Jaslin)
Since the dress itself is already in such a rich color of wine, I paired it with a simple pearl necklace that boyfriend had bought for me while he was in Bangkok, silver rings and white heels to lighten the look. I had a lot of delight and fun creating shapes with the skater dress and I hope you girls will enjoy the pictures!
