501 X DOUBLE DENIM Ever since my internship with DBS Bank has long ended, I haven't quite got a chance to dress up in corporate wear. Which by the way, I would love to because I have such a number of corporate dresses and apparels that are still in my wardrobe, just waiting for me to slip into them someday.
During my stint at DBS Bank, my favourite day of the week has to be "Casual Friday" because all of us get to turn up for work in jeans. That made my highlight of the day because it was always interesting to see how my colleagues and everyone else wear their jeans. While some guys chose to wear them smart, some chose to wear them casual with sweaters. The ladies' wardrobe selection was however a little more alluring. You could spot the rolled up hems, high waisted jeans, or also skinny jeans which the ladies chose to accentuate their silhouette.
I always liked the idea of denim for office days, so what else would be a perfect time to wear my pair of Levi's 501s and integrate it with office wear. I went double denim for the coordinate (which you have also seen the top here), and had the jeans rolled up to give it a little edge with silver heels and accessories. As I like to have a key piece in my outfit that adds a feminine touch, I thought this blazer with pretty lace details running down the sleeves was a perfect match. Being collarless also allows me to bring a denim contrast to the collars, and it makes a sharper look for corporate wear.

Thought I'll add in a little snippet of information which I came across in an article with the different looks you could achieve with different types of rolls if you have Levi's jeans in different cutting!
If it is a straight leg cut or boyfriend jeans like the one I'm wearing, it is always good to give it a couple of big rolls. You could experiment with a variety of different rolls when it comes to skinny jeans, such as one large roll, a couple small rolls, or even a couple large rolls. However when it is wide flare or boot cut jeans you're talking about, it's best to leave them as it is because they are meant to be worn how they come. :)
And as always, I hope you enjoyed reading this article and this look.
Do share with me how you girls would wear your denim jeans to work too!
